Graduate Engineer Trainee
Job Description
· Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor.
· Conducting research and travelling to sites.
· Analysing data and writing reports according to specifications.
· Liaise with internal and external clients to build relationships and assist with the delivery of the project objectives.
· Communicate effectively with the ability to discuss a wide range of issues to people across all levels of the organisation.
· Engaging with internal engineering resources and external consultants.
Job Requirement
· Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
· Ability to read and interpret drawings
· Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Word and MS Project.
· Strong problem solving, logical, technical and analytical skills
· Willingness to work both from our head office in Ivanhoe and at various sites.
· Self-motivation and organisational skills to manage work and time
· Desire and ability to develop knowledge of other engineering disciplines, business functions and the commercial environment in which SCG operates.
The following skills and experiences will be look on favourably:
· Skills in using CAD in design
· The ability to develop engineering judgement and maturity by being exposed to a variety of work environments and task challenges.
· Interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, understand and modify positions to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes
