Apply clinical judgement and knowledge of pharmacology in the treatment of disorders and conditions across the lifespan, especially within the principles of safe medication administration, handling and storage.
Demonstrate practice at a beginning level in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, Code of Conduct for Nurses, and the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Illustrate skill development in nursing management by identifying patient problems, implementing interventions and evaluating outcomes.
Apply critical thinking skills and reflective practice in the provision of person-centred care.
Apply knowledge of pathophysiology and clinical manifestations associated with a range of disorders and conditions across the lifespan and within the constraints of this unit.
Describe and apply relevant theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to the nursing assessment and management of a patient in the medical and/or surgical environment.
