Analyst Developer IT Department

This position is responsible for developing solutions that drive efficiency and productivity across SMBC’s Australian operations, understanding the business, its systems, processes and strategy; defining and documenting business systems and architectures, reporting requirements, workflows and processes; identifying areas of improvement and developing solutions for these areas; providing development and programming skills for delivery of the solution life cycle, and the continual improvement of systems and services to ensure the highest levels of stakeholder satisfaction and operational performance.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical analyst and solutions roles within corporate environments
• Tertiary qualifications in a related IT/business discipline
• Strong knowledge of SQL, understanding of relational data modeling
• Experience with major relational databases
• Experience in programming languages (C#, C++, Java, VB)
• Familiarity with shell scripting and scripting languages
• Good understanding and experience in client-server applications development
• Good understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Strong documentation, reporting and report writing skills
• Highly developed planning and analytical skills
• Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Strong self-motivation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to accept responsibility and accountability, and be a team player
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
