Front-end Web Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for an extremely talented front-end web developer to assist us with our ever expanding workload.  The successful candidate must be a 'people person' and highly innovative to produce industry leading websites.  

• Strong hand-coding of both semantic, efficient, standards-compliant HTML5 and CSS3 - in particular responsive design
• Possess a keen eye regarding a high level of detail and strive for pixel-perfect design across different web browsers and platforms
• A solid understanding of web design, accessibility, usability, search engine optimisation and information architecture
• Javascript - both framework (jQuery, Angular.js etc) and pure vanilla JavaScript
• Understanding of cloud deployments with Docker and AWS
• Git version control (Github, Bitbucket etc)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Immediate start available
• Accustomed to working on multiple projects simultaneously to a high standard
• Ability to work collaboratively with Creatives, UX and Full-Stack/Back-end developers to deliver a finished product of the highest quality and to brief
• Be able to stay on track with emerging development/design trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community
• Consistently keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and competitive activity
• Raw talent - self-taught developers have as much chance as someone with a degree
• Use of CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS) and build tools (Grunt, Gulp etc)
• Backend PHP and MySQL development using modern MVC frameworks
• WordPress, Drupal, Silvertripe CMS themes
• External SOAP and REST API integration
