Job Description

This role will see you reporting to our Chief Technology & Innovation Officer and working closely with the broader Development, Product and QA teams.

As our Full Stack Engineer, you are tasked with developing, enhancing and maintaining existing systems along with building new features across enableHR’s products. 

Your responsibilities will include: -

  • Building back-end functionality in support of existing application infrastructure 
  • Designing and building RESTful and GraphQL interfaces for our modernisation projects
  • Supporting the front-end team in delivering an improved enableHR experience 
  • Write clean, stable, unit-tested code and accompanying documentation
  • Research problems and come up with practical robust solutions 
  • Be the technological bridge between back-end and front-end teams and technologies 
  • Provide assessments of technical considerations to all deliverables to assist with planning and scoping 
  • Develop prototypes for system designs 
  • Maintain enableHR's existing web applications 

Job Requirement

To be considered for this opportunity, we are considering candidates with the following skills and experience: -

  • Min. 5+ years software development / software engineering experience that includes good understanding of the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience working in an agile environment, working on large and complex web applications
  • Proficient knowledge of back end programming languages (in particular Java, Kotlin, Struts 2, Spring MVC and Hibernate) and the delivery of web-based APIs (REST and GraphQL)
  • SQL/RDBMS experience
  • Understanding and experience with (or significant exposure to) JSP and similar templating languages, HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX and JSON
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Take ownership for your own outputs and deliverables along with displaying a positive and collaborative team spirit
