• Realize business objectives by developing and deploying robust software solutions as directed by the Product Owner

• Create, develop, upgrade and improve the solution as per instructions from the Technical Architects, DevOps Architects or delegate.

• Apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems Produce high quality code following industry standard methods of test-driven development, continuous integration and feedback from collaboration with testers.

• Resolve defects/bugs during testing, quality assurance in pre-production, production
• Work with the development team, architects and product owners to continuously improve our software solution, architecture and collaboration as a team.

• Work as a key member of an agile software development team.
• Write detailed notes / comments on the code, architecture and functions built so that other personnel can easily get ‘up to speed’ with the structure, reasons for design, tipson how to make adjustments / improvements and important factors to be aware of when making any changes.

• Ensure all development activity is checked into the repository every day
• Ensure items being worked at in the Scrum Board are left with a status update and comment

Essential

• 3+ years of experience / strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience in ReactJS and Redux
• ES6
• React Native
• Python
• Jest / experience in writing tests and test driven development (Jest or Enzyme)
• Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB and development of serverless applications
• Familiarity with Git and CI
• Familiar with DevOps processes, tools and releasing to production environments(Cloudformation, CodePipeline, Jenkins)

• Experience implementing UX from defined design and style guides (e.g. Apple Human Interface, Google Material Design Guidelines and Google’s “Design for Android”)

• REST APIs
• Experience in Agile and Scrum
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Ability to provide and receive feedback within a team environment
• Enjoy working as part of a fun team

Desirable

• Experience developing native applications for Android and iOS
• Familiar with release pipeline on Android and iOS
• Experience in microservices
• Previous experience as a scrum master
• Familiar with AWS technology and tools (e.g. S3, AppSync, etc)
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience in GraphQL
