Charles Darwin University

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a public university located in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. It is the only university in the Northern Territory and serves as a dual-sector institution offering both higher education and vocational education and training (VET). CDU was established in 2003 through the merger of Northern Territory University and Centralian College. The university has campuses in Darwin, Alice Springs, and several remote locations across the Territory. CDU is recognized for its research strengths in tropical health, environmental science, Indigenous knowledge systems, and engineering suited to Northern Australia's unique conditions. The university serves a diverse student body including a significant proportion of Indigenous Australian students.
