Hydro Tasmania

Hydro Tasmania is Australia's largest producer of clean renewable energy, with over one hundred years of history generating hydro and wind power in Tasmania. The government-owned corporation manages 55 major dams, operates 30 hydropower stations, and has developed some of Australia's largest wind farms. It is also the country's largest water manager. Hydro Tasmania plays a central role in Australia's energy transition, operating the Marinus Link interconnector project (linking Tasmania and Victoria) and the Battery of the Nation initiative which positions Tasmania as a large-scale pumped hydro energy storage solution for the National Electricity Market. The organisation is commercially focused while serving a public mission of sustainable energy generation.
