Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions is a joint venture between Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH (51%) and NIOA (49%). Australian-owned NIOA is the leading supplier of weapons and munitions to the Australian Defence Force.
In an Australian first, the joint venture Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions is set to produce and export ammunition for the US F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programme.
