Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Accountant – Part-time contract, 25 hours per week until the 30th June 2021. School hours may be available for the right candidate.
The Accountant is responsible for providing professional accounting support to assist the Director of Little Saints and the Head of Business Services in delivering excellence in financial management to Little Saints Early Learning, Vacation & Outside School Hours Care.
The Accountant will assist the Director of Little Saints and the Head of Business Services with preparation of statistical/financial reports as required, management of finance policies, systems and procedures. Improvement of systems and processes of internal control. Change Management and analytical thinking with a proven ability to work as a constructive member of a team with a professional, courteous manner.
Job Requirement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
- Preparation of statistical/financial reports as requested
- Management of Finance policies, systems and procedures
- Improvement of systems and processes of internal control
- Demonstrated experience with change management and project management
- Proven ability to work as a constructive member of a team with a professional, courteous manner.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail
- QIKKids or OWNA software experience (desirable)
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
- Assist the Director of Little Saints with preparation and operation of Centre budgets, producing statistical/financial reports as requested.
- Meet all financial and statutory requirements.
- Establish financial processes and procedures.
