Civil Structural Engineering Intern

Our South Australian region is currently seeking a student, currently studying a Civil or Structural Engineering course to take up an Undergraduate or Trainee Engineering opportunity on major Civil Infrastructure projects throughout this year. This position will be offered on a part time or casual basis to help provide flexibility for you around current study and personal situation, whilst still ensuring you’re supported, can gain new skills and strengthen existing ones.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with basic design calculations and layouts for civil & structural engineering works - highways, local roads, intersections, drainage, bridges & retaining walls
- Liaising with the drafting and modelling teams to visualise design work
- Responding to queries from the project management team and external contractors
- Shadowing experienced engineers for site related activities
Job Requirement
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Current enrollment in a Civil or Structural Engineering course, with strong academic results in high school level Mathematics and English
- Strong desire to gain practical experience on real projects
- Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail
- Genuine interest in technical design and starting a career in the Consulting industry.
