This role is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong software engineering, computer science or data science background. You must be eligible to work Full-Time (Monday to Friday) for the duration of 7 months. We are looking for a driven, communicative person with strong programming, analytical and problem solving skills. Ideally you are a tech savvy person with experience using SQL and Python.
On a daily basis, you will be at the centre of our growth activity, responsible for driving advanced analytics and machine learning projects, using agile methodologies and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to understand requirements.
You will…
- Build your own machine learning models from scratch and deploy them in production with scalability, speed and performance at heart
- Take full ownership of maintenance of existing data pipelines and models.
- Ensure data quality at each stage of machine learning model development cycle.
- Build monitoring dashboards.
- Perform advanced analytics and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Participate in development of data science project roadmap and proactively search for areas to apply data science techniques to increase efficiency and profitability.
Job Requirement
You have / are...
- A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
- Extensive hands-on experience working with SQL, Python and data visualisation tools (Tableau) with the aspiration to expand your skills to other development tools.
- Experience designing and building data / machine learning pipelines
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals
- A good understanding of statistics and maths behind machine learning models.
- Experience with developing monitoring reports and dashboards to track performance of machine learning models.
- The ability to manage a project from start to finish and deliver on time
- Knowledge of cloud environments and version control is a plus
- Result-oriented with strong critical thinking skills
- Proactive, data-driven and eager to learn

Duration: 7 Months paid internship. You must be able to commit Full-Time (Monday to Friday 9 am - 6 pm). You must have the right to work in Australia for the duration of the contract.

Location: Chippendale Head Office - currently working from home part time
