Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team in an exciting role as our Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist.

This role is responsible for increasing donations and leads for all Childhood Cancer Support events and campaigns using paid marketing, inbound marketing and organic channels. A major focus of this position is marketing tactics and implementation to drive fundraising revenue.

This role will assume responsibility for the marketing/fundraising budget (in conjunction with the Community Fundraising & Events Officer), developing, coordinating and implementing the overall communications and digital marketing plan for the organisation. The successful applicant will have experience designing and executing end-to-end digital campaigns, full scope tracking within multiple websites and platforms, and ROI reporting. 

This position will also manage the organisation’s websites, newsletter, organisational brochure, social media tools, campaign brochures and is responsible for increasing Childhood Cancer Support’s brand awareness and profile throughout Australia. This role will ensure all communications and resources are coherent, consistent and in line with Childhood Cancer Support’s mission and brand. Adobe Creative Suite skills, marketing automation and proven solid lead generation marketing expertise is advantageous.

Operating in an environment where events are developed, planned and delivered in an integrated, end-to-end fashion, this role incorporates the marketing and communications delivery of key events for Childhood Cancer Support such as Talk Like a Pirate Day (throughout Australia), Camp Crystal, annual Christmas party, and a range of Brisbane based and regional fundraising events.

We are looking for an experienced digital marketing professional; an exceptional and creative individual that can take Childhood Cancer Support to the next level by raising revenue and awareness of our organisation throughout not only Queensland but nationally.

Job Requirement

  1. Advanced experience delivering multi-channel demand and lead generation strategies and campaigns within tight deadlines, timeframes and budgets
  2. Highly skilled in data management, marketing and sales analysis and executive level reporting
  3. HTML proficient
  4. Working knowledge of Facebook Ad manager, Linkedin Ad manager, Twitter Ads, Google Ads, YouTube.
  5. Highly skilled in writing converting ads across various platforms
  6. Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite
  7. Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  8. Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce advantageous)
  9. Demonstrated experience in writing copy for marketing collateral including newsletters, brochures, annual reports and producing material from start to finish
  10. Experience writing, producing and delivering print and online communications, social media and email marketing materials
  11. Demonstrated experience in dealing with the media, writing media releases and feature articles
  12. Demonstrated experience in website management
  13. Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • 5 years + in a similar role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related discipline
  • Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector (highly advantageous)
  • Experience with working with external digital agencies, web developers, graphic designers, Google Account Managers and Facebook Account Managers to learn from and execute efficient best practices to achieve revenue targets.
