We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers based in the Sydney timezone. You'll be part of Jira Service Management and will be directly impacting the experience of over 650,000 end users. Your mission will be to empower our customers and their ITSM use cases through a strong product focus on Insight. Insight is Atlassian's offering of a Service Management Database which is a system of record for ITSM capabilities. Having had a successful launch in April 2021 we're looking for a leader to take our teams on the journey ahead. You'll be responsible for building an effective team, empowering them to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context. Your greatest responsibility will be looking after the individuals reporting to you – mentoring and supporting them in their professional development, unlocking their potential, and challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to grow and excel.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

Building large scale web software in Cloud

Experience growing a team of developers

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies

Ability to drive technical decisions, innovation, quality, and outcomes

Strong organization and interpersonal skills

A track record of execution, risk management, and delivering results

Employee performance & growth management

Experience with large scale distributed systems and microservices

Experience with Continuous Delivery, Balancing Ops and development investment
