Engineering Student Intern

We have an exciting paid on-going casual internship opportunity available at Cochlear Global HQ for a Engineering Student Intern.

Based in our head office located in Sydney, the Verification & Validation Student Intern will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the Verification & Validation Team within Cochlear’s world-class Research and Development department.

This position will be a casual employment role that will be accountable for validating, testing, and verifying new and existing system and software features. As a member of the V&V Team, you will have the rare opportunity to gain real-life insight into working as a professional engineer.

• Apply basic coding and scripting knowledge into proposed automation solutions
• Expand and maintain current automated solutions by collaborating with internal stakeholders
• Create, communicate, and deliver potential automated solutions once approved.
• Develop and use tools to support validation processes, validating new and existing software or system features to maintain compliance.
• Work with other teams in R&D teams to test and verify software or system solutions which run on multi-platform operating systems, devices, cloud services.
• Draft, review, and finalize validation and verification reports, exploratory test reports, or other means of formal reporting
• Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables
