Finance Officer

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. This role is offered on a full time basis and is based in our Sydney office.

This role is a key member of the National Finance Team and is responsible for assisting with Program and NDIS accounting and reporting. The role requires a high level of focus to continuously drive process improvement that aligns with not only the company vision but also the agreed policies and procedures that promote best practice.

• An Accounting degree - essential
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Prior experience in a community services organisation is essential including direct experience in and knowledge of funded program accounting and acquittal reporting
• Hands on experience in Net Suite accounting system is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with a solid track record of strong influencing skills and the ability to guide clients to an understanding of compliance and regulatory changes and compliance with same
• High level communication skills including conflict management & negotiation skills, report & submission writing

This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check and hold the relevant state based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment.
