Intermediate Tax Accountant
Job Description
The role will include:
- Working on the tax and business compliance requirements of a range of clients, often structured in larger groups
- The opportunity to be involved in promoting and growing the firm and in time developing your own client base
- The provision of high-end business advice and the development and implementation of creative tax planning strategies
- Providing support and guidance for more junior accountants and an admin team who will help you achieve the objectives of your position
Job Requirement
The successful applicant will:
- Be a quick thinker with a high attention to detail
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be a graduate and either pursuing CA/CPA qualifications or recently completed
- Have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working in public practice in Australia
- Have solid computing skills and a good working knowledge of the major client accounting software systems, including Xero, MYOB and Reckon Accounts
- Be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally and creatively
- Be calm under pressure and have the ability to effectively manage their own workload
