IT Support Manager - Operations
Job Description
The IT Support Manager is responsible for day to day support of the fulfilment center, provisioning new users, managing hardware and advising on new initiatives to mechanise parts of the logistics pipeline into the future. Working closely with the DevOps/Infrastructure team, you will be tasked to modernise and automate various processes to take the grind out of the day.
You are skilled at troubleshooting and getting to the root cause of incidents and issues with software, hardware, networks and know your way around Linux, Windows, Android and iOS. You will have a passion for all things technical and IT, and are willing to work closely with people in person and remotely. You find learning new things fun and are willing to learn about new technologies and new ways of working. You document changes diligently, and follow processes with discipline.
Job Requirement
- 6+ years of experience in technical and IT operational support/systems administration.
- Technically relevant degree or related education.
- Technical expertise across Linux systems, networking, network security (LAN, WAN and Wireless LAN).
- Strong SQL skills for operational data investigation.
- Strong communication and planning skills.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting network printers, label printers, access points and various wireless devices.
- Experience supporting computer hardware and communications hardware.
- Great team player – other team members enjoy working with you, you are happy to mentor users (and be mentored yourself), you communicate clearly and confidently with people inside and outside the technology team.
- Preferably skilled in at least 1 scripting language, (Python, Bash, Ruby etc).
- Thorough Documentation skills are a must.
- Device support - Android and iOS.
- GSuite experience.
- Cloud experience advantageous (or a willingness to learn).
- Management of medium-sized networks.
- eCommerce or experience in online consumer services is ideal.
