Java Specialist

This position is perfect for the IT specialist who is bored with the monotony of scripting for big companies and is looking to move onto a new project in defence. This will allow the lucky individual to work with a global team of enthusiastic IT professionals on a range of products involving support to the Australian Defence Force and other industries.

Innovation, creativity, purpose, these are all things encouraged in this role. You will be expected to design software, collaborate with a team and help to plan the future IT developments of the company.

This career will involve critical new technology and contribute to growth of the defence sector in Adelaide.

• Demonstrated ability to think and operate strategically.
• Experience in successfully completing defence projects involving Java or other scripting languages
• Prior examples of collaborating with other IT specialists to plan, design and implement software strategies.
• Ability to solve problems and think outside the box.
• Demonstrated ability working on web services, REST is highly valued
• Actively seek out opportunities to improve business operations.
• Prior work in a DevOps environment will be highly regarded
• Hold an Bachelor Degree in an IT focussed field;
• Must be eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance to SECRET.
