This position will be an integral role to the Sales & Marketing team providing marketing support to W Melbourne’s B&F venues and assist Marketing in all required initiatives. This role will assist with the execution of marketing and communication activities undertaken including social media, placement of advertising, collateral production, assisting with photo and video shoots, media relations, database management, content creation, promotional tracking, competitor research and communicating with internal teams for marketing related activities.

  • Manage W Melbourne’s B&F marketing tool to engage with guests and targeted upselling opportunities
  • Social media content strategy contribution and content creation for W Melbourne’s B&F venues
  • Manage the online marketing function including updating of W Melbourne’s website and social media & online reputation platforms, uploading of special offers page and monitoring of both third party and competitor website to source new promotional opportunities
  • Work with the digital marketing and the area field marketing team on cluster campaigns, regional offers and marketing campaigns/activations in market
  • Answer client and guest questions about property B&F facilities and services via social media
  • Be fully versed across Marriott Bonvoy, the Marriott International loyalty program to maximise business opportunities for W Melbourne
  • Analyse the activities of competitor hotels, including their customer base, with the aim of developing and securing new business and providing a market advantage
  • Ensure that you maintain clear and detailed files including all relevant client/partners/suppliers information and activities
  • Ensure recovery calls/responses are dealt with in an appropriate manner and in accordance with brand teachings
  • Be an early adopter and champion for innovation, as the W brand has been since inception, to deliver and exceed budgeted revenues for the hotel, channel engagement and enhanced guest experience
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely fashion
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the DOSM, DOS, MARCOM and Hotel Management
