Fantastic Opportunity with UTU

We are looking for a well rounded, passionate Back End Developer to join our team in Melbourne AU. As a Backend Developer, you will be part of a team that focuses on the mobile social media application for the UTU platform.

 

Responsibilities

●  Engage with product and platform engineering teams to deliver performant, consistent and engaging features for the application backend system

●  Contribute to new features, maintenance and bug fixing for the application with nodejs, css, typescript, jest, and more

●  Help to hire, coach and mentor a team of engineers and/or vendors to greater excellence

●  Help to estimate projects and tasks and responsibility for on time delivery Research, evaluate and improve the UTU interface for web clients

 

● Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or Software Engineering or other relevant field.

Experience, Skills and Technologies:

●  5+ years relevant industry experiences

●  Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical people alike

●  Demonstrated competency in making high traffic real time system experiences

●  Collaborative approach to problem solving person

●  Self-starter with a thirst for knowledge and experimentation

●  Eye for detail and ability to turn product/design dreams into realities

●  Preference for working with and tweaking experiences for the UI layer

●  Strong software product lifecycle management experience

●  Independent to manage, execute, and take initiative without supervision

 

Required Technical Skills:

●  Fluent in modern framework especially with NodeJS/Golang Experiences

●  Fluent in microservices and serverless architects

●  Fluent in SQL/No-SQL databases

●  Ability to write meaningful unit tests

●  Experience in collaboration with UX/Design

●  Proficient in using developer tools to debug and troubleshoot performance issues

 

Bonus Points:

●  Docker / Kubernetes / AWS / GitLab DevOps experiences

●  Golang and Rust with multi-threaded system design is a huge plus

●  Hands on C++ experiences and have large time critical application design experiences

Understand Blockchain Ecosystem especially in EOS and Ethereum

●  Experiences with Android / IOS native development

●  Hands on blockchain development experiences
