This course extends students' programming skills through the introduction of alternative programming languages, the study of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency, and the use of software development tools and environments. This course builds on the concepts of object-oriented programming as well as data structures and algorithms introduced in 7001ICT Programming Principles 1 and 7005ICT Programming Principles 2, broadening the theoretical knowledge and practical programming experience through the introduction of a programming language different from Programming Principles 1 and 2. Prerequisite: 7005ICT Programming Principles 2 This course was previously named "Software Development" Assumed background: This course assumes fundamental knowledge in object-oriented concepts and an object-oriented programming language such as Java.
