iflix was a Malaysia-headquartered streaming entertainment service focused on emerging markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The platform offered a wide selection of TV shows, movies, local originals, live sports, and news content, positioning itself as the Netflix for emerging markets. iflix was acquired by Tencent in 2020 and its operations were merged into WeTV, Tencent's regional streaming platform. Prior to acquisition, iflix employed hundreds of content, technology, and operations staff across its regional offices.
