Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit typically comprises of a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study applicable to a 6 credit point unit. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning, and online engagement.
Analyse, evaluate, and apply the international law and practice related to human trafficking and human exploitation, taking into account their historical evolution and overarching frameworks; and the tensions which exist as a result of the manner in which they have been implemented.
Apply developed knowledge of the principles, structures, and tensions at play in the law and practice applicable to human trafficking and human exploitation, and communicate these both orally and in written form effectively, appropriately and persuasively in writing on one or more such issues.
Conduct independent research (whether individually or collectively) on issues applicable to human trafficking and human exploitation and the manner in which these have been applied internationally and incorporated domestically.
Reflect in an engaged manner on the substance of the required readings and/or on the development and composition of the Research paper and through the Oral presentation.
Critically examine and engage with fundamental principles and structures of international law related to human trafficking and human exploitation, including those related to criminal justice, gender, human rights, labour, and migration.
