Identifying, measuring, interpreting and communicating critical revenue and cost data and information are key elements of financial and managerial accounting. Accounting for Decision-making / Financial and Management Accounting recognises the role of the manager in understanding the past and forming visions for the future; it provides a multidimensional view on accounting and financial reporting. Financial accounting coverage will involve the components of financial statements and their preparation and analysis. Management accounting will consider the application of cost accounting techniques to key strategic decisions in the organisation and their link to business strategy. Data analytics and data visualisation techniques will feature, as will the engagement with ethical and social implications of accounting practices and technologies.
