In this unit, you will continue your training in research via three components. First, research design and analysis topics presented in first and second year will be explored at a more advanced theoretical level. The major focus of this component will be analysis of variance and multiple regression. Second, you will develop experience performing statistical analyses using a statistical software package. Finally, you will continue your training in research design and analysis by undertaking an independent research project

📋 Workload

2 hours of lectures per week. 2 hours of tutorials 11 times per semester. Induction tutorial: 1 hour in Week 1 of semester Preparation: Eight hours background reading/preparation for lectures, tutorials and assessment tasks per week. Attendance at tutorials is recommended in order to successfully complete in-class activities and related assessment tasks.

Explain the theory underlying linear regression (including special case of analysis of variance), multiple predictors, and moderation and model comparison
