Identify and map key structures of the brain and spinal cord and explain their functions with regards to cognition, emotion and behaviour.
Evaluate and communicate key theories and models of cognition, emotion and behaviour, including links to neuroanatomical structures and networks
Apply knowledge of functional neuroanatomy and models of cognition, emotion and behaviour to inform neuropsychological assessment and intervention practice.
Interpret and utilise findings from neurological assessment and neuroradiological reports to inform clinical neuropsychological practice
Trainees are required to complete a number of short answer questions under live test conditions. The questions primarily relate to neuroanatomy, brain imaging and clinical neurological examinations.
Trainees are required to prepare a concept map for each major cognitive domain, including major constructs, linking neuroanatomy and functional impairment.
Trainees are required to complete three short-answer case analysis assignments across the semester, linking cognitive models to clinical case vignettes.
