职位一：Mid - Senior Software Developer - Frontend - Angular

 

The Role

We’re looking for a talented Developer who can provide the team with software development skills on our frontend systems, whilst assisting with various tasks such as providing customer support, monitoring systems, and fleshing out new features

Responsibilities

• Provide development, testing and deployment skills on the frontend systems

• Provide lifecycle ownership of our frontend systems from development right through to production and beyond

• Provide leadership, technical expertise and mentoring to mid-level and junior engineers in the team

• Work with the engineering manager to ensure improvements of the systems align with the overall vision and strategy

• Assist in monitoring KPI’s, providing actionable insights and building real-time dashboards

• Assist in monitoring and reacting to competition and changes in the market

• Assist in various “startup” tasks such as customer support and writing knowledge base articles as required

Knowledge and Experience

• Expert, up to date knowledge of CSS, Typescript, AngularJS 1.x, Angular 6, and/or React Demonstrated experience building and maintaining web apps in the cloud

• Strong design knowledge and practical experience applying design patterns and modern development practices like TDD

• Strong understanding of GIT, Pull Requests and DEVOPS in general

• A self-starter, with the ability to execute on tasks without micro management

• Flexible approach, with the ability to handle changing priorities

• Experience migrating from AngularJS 1.x to Angular 6 or React is desirable

• Experience in cross browser test automation is desirable

   

 

职位二： Software Engineer - Back End - Java

The Role:

As a Software Engineer you will join our well established IT department of 20+ engineers, split into small functional teams, working on existing platforms and implementing new technologies and features for Compare the Market. We run a maintenance kanban workflow, have specialisation based chapters and have an emphasis on project work within the organisation. You will play a crucial role to bring your knowledge and experience to the chapter meetings and deliverables within the IT Department.

 

Your primary responsibilities will be

• Follow the software development life cycle when developing solutions

• Develop code that meets the technical requirements

• Create, improve and extend architecture to solve IT and business problems

• Ensure applications/services have sufficient logging and alerting

• Assist all other software engineers, including pair programming

• Understand, critique and test while conducting peer/code reviews

• Create and extend unit and load tests

• Maintain infrastructure and CI automation/build plans

• Help define and adhere to the technical direction

Leadership and Management

• Mentoring/advising other software engineers

• Reinforce coding and architectural standards of peers

 

Knowledge and Experience

• 3+ years proven commercial experience

• Understanding the software development life cycle

• Version control, such as; GIT and SVN

• Design Patterns, such as Singleton, Factory and MVC

• Microservices and distributed architecture

• Security principals and technologies, such as; OAuth2, JWT and Spring Security

• Creating/implementing API schemas

• Strongly typed languages; such as Java and Go

• Database design and syntax, such as; MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL and Oracle

 

职位三： Customer Data Scientist

The Role:

As the Customer Data Scientist, you will be responsible for taking a whole of customer approach in advanced analytics and data science to solve commercial and customer problems.

You will work closely with the Head of Customer Experience Design & General Manager Pricing to take a customer led view in optimizing customer lifetime value, retention opportunities, inform channel strategies and models as well as optimizing the customer experience across the customer lifecycle.

The successful applicant will also have a role in influencing the analytics community in the business in adopting Data Science and Predictive Modelling techniques and best practice.

 

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Carry out data science and machine learning projects as a service within the company, but also generate and manage your own projects

• Formulate and productionise outstanding descriptive and predictive models that deliver concrete commercial uplift and improve customer experience

• Effectively communicate the results of analysis and modelling activities at all levels of the company in language that is understandable to a business audience

• Act as a trusted internal consultant on data science matters to the analytics community within the business.

• Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality, best-practice analytics and insights

• Assist in driving the data science and advanced analytics agenda as a key capability and value driver in the company

• Stay up to date on the latest developments in data science, including emerging tools

 

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years data science / advanced analytics experience, with exposure to the financial services industry, preferably insurance

• An essential requirement of this role is a high level of demonstrated communication skill

• Very strong demonstrated predictive modelling and advanced analytics knowledge and discipline using a range of algorithms

• Previous  experience with at least one of the following:

• R (preferably experience with Microsoft R Server as well)

• Python

• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide as an analytical tool will be highly regarded

• Must be a team player, be able to work with staff at all levels of the organisation, but also able to work autonomously

• Superior analytical skills and problem solving abilities are a must
